pondering

Throughout my childhood various careers fancied my interests including but not limited to: astronaut, singer, writer, and a brain surgeon (sometimes simultaneously, sometimes not). As I grew up my dreams were crushed one by one.

To be an astronaut you have to have perfect vision. In fifth grade I found out I am as blind as a bat.

To be a singer.....well you have to be able to sing. I am not even gonna go there.......

Writer? The only modern writers I had ever heard of were the starving artist types.

Brain surgery requires a lot of school which means a lot of money. Beside who wants a klutz working on them?

What should I be when I grow up? Oh late night pondering. Isn't it weird how we never think this deep during the day?

  1. Lol! I totally have late night (and daytime) pondering about what I want to be when I grow up. And I'm 38, married, and have 2 kids! I have a feeling that question will always be in the forefront of my mind. It's not about what I want to be when I grow up, but rather, what do I want to do next? Good luck with your pondering. :-)
